Ion Forge X9

Machined from a single billet of aluminium. Tuned to 0.8 ms. A reference audio hub that looks the way it measures.

The X9: a machined aluminium puck with a cyan light ring at its base. 01 Bead-blasted 6061 cap 02 Diffused status ring 03 32-bit DAC, isolated
The X9 in raw aluminium with an orange status ring, on a pale grey ground.

Industrial design

One billet. Nine hours. Nothing glued.

The body is cut from solid 6061 in a single set-up, so the chamfer, cap and wall share one datum. The light ring sits behind a diffuser rather than on top of it — you see a glow, never an LED.
